Claim Ownership is the right to all the benefits that accrue to a particular zip code found on the OnTheMapUS website for a period of one year (365 days).
This means:
The right to sell your Claim
The right to Create and maintain your own personalized Claim Owner's Page
The right to benefit from advertising on your Claim Owners page through the My Referrals section
Any and all rights that belong to Claim Owners of OnTheMapUS, including the right to vote!
The right to access areas of the site only available to Claim Owners
The right to receive a Certificate of Claim Ownership
Once you have secured Claim Ownership of a town, you are ready to begin creating your Claim Owner's Page. We have made this easy for you by providing an easy-to-use Claim Owner's Page Creation and Editing module which guides you through the process: Identifying required areas of content and offering many optional areas, so that your Claim Owner's Page contains the content you want.
You are also ready to begin your own Internet Advertising business through the enabling of the My Referrals section of the Claim Owner's Page. The My Referrals section is optional and not required. Many Claim Owners will wish to enable the My Referrals section in order to offset or even fully recoup their cost of Claim Ownership. Many will be able to begin making money over and above their cost as a result of securing their Claim.
Enabling the My Referrals section has a one time, annual cost of $50 and can be enabled at any time during Claim Ownership.
